Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now
Fortunately this does not decribe my present mood, even if I don't seem to be getting very far at work.
Instead, this was the song I sang with my mate Rachel at an excellent traditional old pub between Upper Brook Street and the A6,near the Chinese supermarket. Can't remember the name of the pub though.
It was "full" of about 10 old locals before we arrived. Quite astonishingly, no one appeared to have left after I had sung either.I was pissed certainly and damn well enjoyed it, maybe the locals were in a similar condition.
Rachel also did a wonderful version of Morriseys' "I have Forgiven Jesus", which I have never heard before and is hilariously blasphemous.
The song book is vast-there must be about 500 songs in it, including such wonderful classics as "Anarchy in the UK" and "Jilted John". I nearly sang that one,but at the last moment decided I could not possibly do it justice.
I will certainly be going back, which of course means I will learn more song lyrics and am therefore more likely to sing outside as well.

Sounds like a giggle mate. Would have love to have tackled 'Jilted John'. Do you remember watching that on Top Of The Pops while we were eating our tea? Carterton perhaps, I don't recall exactly where.
