It's been a bit long since i wrote my last journal (Yes, Yes, I know I'm crap!) So here goes: the next exciting instalment

Saw DOWN. They were Fookin AMAZING!!!!

I was probablty the best Gig I've been to. Phil was looking great, Better than ever! he look like he did when he was fronting Pantera 12 years ago , back before all the heroin shit went down.

I was a bit miffed that the band (read: Phil and Rex) denied me the oppertunity to take a load of Gig pics The head bouncer at Rock City ask for a photo pass for me but my request was declined due to Phil and Rex being paranoid after the whole Dimebag shit went down! (apparantly they don't like things being pointed at them, which I can totally understand)

The other thing that put a downer on the night was that while I was going into the venue, Security took my Nikon D50 off me, complete with my brand new 55-200 nikon lens which I bought specifically for this gig! Arghhhhhhhhhh Sulk, Sulk, Sulk.

I did however manage to get my compact in, so it wasn't a total loss Got some decent long range pics I also got a copy of a set of pics that one of the Bar Staff was allowed to take (he's also the official photograper for Rock City)

God I love having friends in high places (best mate is one of the bouncers in City ) He was kind enough to get those pics for me, He took my ticket back stage at the end of the gig and the Tour Manager was kind enough to get Phil Anselmo to sign it for me and he also got me a set list (of which only 2 got given out, Kirk gave a rippd one away and I got the other one Intact and with notes written on, think this was Phil song sheet ) This was a nice surprise as they were apparantly trying not to give them away!
