i'm having my morning coffee in this cool mug.

i made some t shirts and other stuff on this site, called cafe press. it's fun, we made some shirts for Sondawgs band too.
i have today off, and with what i do, this NEVER happens. Smash and Zane are running the route. so, cool for me. Sondawg decided he wants to get a Gretsch hollowbody guitar after seeing the Raconteurs on New Years eve. and the only way he will get it is to WORK and make some cash.
we are all big Jack White fans around here, so we took Z and his girlfriend to Chicago for the show. it was a lot of fun.
last week my girls took our dog Butch to the playground down the street like they always do. our neighbors were there with their 2 year old son as well. my girls tied Butch to a bench and were off playing. i guess the little boy was crawling on our buddy boy Butch and he snapped at him. like a "get off me kid" snap, barely a scratch, but they called the police. turns out we are late with his rabies booster shot. he's older so he has to get one every 3 years even though the vet told us there has'nt been a case of rabies in this county in over 70 years. since we were lame about the Butchers shots being current, they impounded him for 10 days. it totally sucked so hard. i really missed him. he's a friendly good ol boy, would'nt hurt anyone, and definately does'nt bite. but we are responsible for what happened. i'm kinda upset with them, i mean, would you let your 2 year old climb on an unattended, tied up dog? anyway, he's home now and everything's cool.
i got a new plasma cutter and an air compressor last week as well. it's on now in my (art?) studio. i am a busy beaver and having a blast. i 'll post some new pics of what i've been making soon. sondawg always has the digital camera and who knows where he keeps it. so i always end up using a disposable and never get around to developing the pics.
Patrick Punkbot now has a girlfriend named Lola and a junkyard dog we call Spike. i made all of them from junk i found at the scrapyard.
yesterday i went to this steel supply house on the river in Peoria and purchased a bunch of steel. some new, some scrap. this place was amazing, they supply steel to the Catapillar plant where they make tractors and dumptrucks as big as your house. i was like a kid in a candy store. so i buddied up to the lead man on the floor and smoozed eveyone with some of our fine bread products... like these.

i was picking up my steel order with my truck and bread falls off my truck all the time, ya know what i'm sayin? i left there with the P farmobile loaded down big time. the boys at O'Brien Steele hooked me up...oh yes.
so i have 2 commissions lined up and i'm starting on them today. one guy wants a giraffe, the other a reindeer. i'm also working on a deal with a local greenhouse that sells lawn art.
life is groovy, dont cha think?
