I hope you do, it will be good for the wallet and your head.
Weld, weld, weld:...but, keep your hands out of the "field."
I take it, that you and Smash have not come to a conclusion.
I generally ask artists, "what price will make you happy to sell it;...and I mean even afterward in reflection, will you still be happy ? Touhy.
You can't really think $/hr. labor, but labor should be accounted for to some degree, and what did you learn whilst building the thingy, your experience is part of your payment to yourself.
How impressive is it, and to whom ? (very important).
If "G" is at least about 3 ft tall, I expect to sell him for $300.00-$400.00 in my gallery, on the side of the road you are compromised to a degree.
--------- I'd justify by saying, you'd have to pay a lot (40%) more in a gallery.----------
I haven't actually seen your work close up, but it looks really good,AND it's completely Original in it's everything.
Never let the BASTARDS push your price down, adjust if you feel like it, but never let them push you down.
Also, don't get hurt or angry, no matter how anyone reacts to your work.
There's lots of assholes who bum people out, for there own petty ego's pleasure.
Look at it, say I'd like to get x, but I would take z, maybe you'll sell at Y,
That's all I can do from here, were I more free and mobile, I'd cruise over , smoke up a buzz, have a "confab", and help you sell them. (so much for big talk).
Just do it;......and Good Selling .
