I don't update alot, but maybe I'll try to make it a weekly thing, instead of a monthly thing.
Christmas came and went, and I had a good time. I went to see the fam out in SoCal, which will always be home to me. I stayed with my grandparents for a couple of days, and that was alright. Then, I stayed with my sister and her family for a couple of days. Her husband is a good guy, and their two kids are wonderful. My niece is four, and my nephew is two; needless to say, it's always an adventure with those two. They're hella cute, and lotsa fun, and I love them both to death. My nephew has decided that jumping is his passion; it's especially fun to see him do his "Spiderman jump." My niece is very much a girlie girl. She loves playing dress-up (her favorite is when she dresses up as any of the Disney princesses, but Cinderella is her favorite).
This was the first Christmas that about 95% of the family was all together. Most of the time, only a random half of everyone shows up at any one time, because everyone always has plans with other in-laws, friends, or otherwise. It was also the first Christmas in a long time that no major arguments or incidents happen. It was just good to be able to sit and relax, and have a good time. Plus, the weather was great in San Diego, so that's always a bonus.
I went and saw a movie called "Santa vs. the Snowman" at Balboa Park (the Fleet Space Museum IMAX theater place), which was actually kinda cute. My nephew kept trying to reach out and grab all the elves, and toys that he saw on the screen. They did make it look fairly #d, and it was a good movie for the kids to see.
School starts January 4th, and I think it'll be a good semester. I checked my grades from this last semester the other day; two A's, a B+, and a B. I won't complain. I still have like, a 3.7 total GPA from two years, and for having to get my GED, and being a "high school failure," I think I'm doing pretty good. And considering that every class that actually pertains to my EMT/fire training I've gotten A's from, I know I'm in the right field. Never hurts to know you're good at what you do.
And you can't complain about getting to ride on the big red trucks. They're just toys for the grown-up boys. And ladies likes the uniforms too. Heh. Hope everyone had a good holiday season. Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, all that winter goodness. And, as a side note, if you're feeling the winter blues, go check out some of the pics tez put up. There's a couple that show the great weather and beaches down under. And congratulate her on her new job.

The job is going great. I'm enjoying it. I work with mainly girls, and I'm surprised with the number of them that I get along with.
Generally girls don't like me.
