Sankyou all for the lovely good wishes :3 I really appreciate it <333
The move has gone reasonably well. I thought I brought too much, but I really didn't bring enough XD;; Soon a friend is going to come get me (a friend from Sonora who moved down here a few months ago), and we're gonna go pick up some stuff I need, like more hangers, milk, butter, utensils, blahblahblah.
SO. Details :E
I live with three other girls, two of which I've met. One is a hippie Wiccan who is attached to her boyfriend and needs to stop that right now. The other is a Japanese nut, spent two years there, speaks it almost fluently, and likes techno/trance. She hangs out with me a decent amount, took me out for food, and has introduced me to some people. The third girl won't get here until some time on Monday. Hippie girl is an Interior Design major, Japan girl is an Illustration major, and the third is a Motion Pictures and Television (MPT) major.
Our room is pretty big, all things considered. We live in a Victorian-styled house that some rich family used to own. It's hella nice <3 It's a co-ed dorm, with boys on the first floor, girls on the second and third. Our room has a really high ceiling, two-tone green walls, three windows that look out onto a WALL, two sets of bunk beds, a drafting table, armoire, and wire set of drawers for each girl. There's also a non-working fireplace on one side of the room. I've got a top bunk above Japan girl, so I'm put up a bunch of posters on my parts of the walls. Heee. Also gonna put a poster on part of the window in front of my drafting table so I can look at something other than the wall.
I've met a few people so far, though only one or two that are Animation majors. I've mostly run into Fashion and Interior Design majors so far. I feel like I'm using some cheesy pick-up line when I ask someone what their major is XDD
Tonight there's gonna be a boat party out on the Bay for new students to get a chance to meet more students outside of their dorm. I'm totally excited to go ^^ I wanna meet as many people as I can :E
Ahhh, there's a lot of details I'm leaving out, such as going to Japantown, running into an old classmate from SONORA that now goes here and has the same major as me, bus tours, orientations, gossip, etc etc. But yeah, you get the idea XD;; Really, I love it here, despite how overwhelmed and nervous I still am. I love the city more and more, and I love this school more and more the longer I'm here. Classes start next week, and I'll be meeting even more people, getting around moreso on my own, and whatever else. There's a barbeque on Sunday for my dorm *wiggles* I'll be surprised if I remember anyone's names XD;;
Anyway, yeah, that's the move in a nut shell. I'll post a more detailed entry some time soon on LJ. Possibly tomorrow depending on what I end up doing. Tra la la, so yus, bare with me ^^;;; I still haven't had a chance to look over people's blogs and photos 'cause my roommate's boyfriend is almost always sitting near me, thus able to look over my shoulder at what I'm doing -_- Rar. I'll let you guys know when I post photos, too ^^ I'ma run around and do that some time soon, I hope.
