it is physically impossible for me NOT to look at an accident on the side of the road. I don't TRY to do it, but my eyes just stay on it, then my neck turns, and before you know it, I'm staring and trying to tell my kids it's impolite to stare. 
(note, I only do that when someone else is driving. I give a quick look when I'm driving.)
