Ahhhhh, lazy Saturdays... However, I have a full day of events to take care of and deal with. My new story has begun, slightly disorganized, uncertain, yet under way in a pleasing way. I don't have much experience of writing in the narrative voice of an 11 year-old.

In an unrelated case, I had to send my computer back to Apple this week. The casing...

Life is a cunt of a different color. And so it is for most obsessive, white, yellow, black, apathetic, energized, somnambulist, jet-lagged, insomniac, burned-out, whipped, out-of-shape, disgruntled, annoyed, pissed-off, curious, inquiring, conceited, misfit, godless, coddled, spoilt, sad, happy, spotty, imperialistic, dogmatic, insidious, arrogant. pale, not a chance, portly, ecstatic, poetic, nerdy, idle, left-brained, somnolent, iambic, turgid, faithless, male, achondroplastic, dry, dirty, moody, hussy, absurd, impure,...

All I can do these days is steal shit off other sites and stumble through life...
Got this list from Vanessa. I've read all the ones most of them. The ones in () mean I've made a significant dent.

Beowulf
Achebe, Chinua - Things Fall Apart
Agee, James - A Death in the Family

Been too long since a posting. I'm suffering from an anxiety that I just cannot shake. There's a palpable sense of frustration and dejection in my life of late. These feelings are hopefully not permanent and perhaps a pint of Guinness in Kehoes Pub in Sth. Anne Street will help.
I was just looking at the pics of the supremely lovely India and want to...

Damnation! Lost my free wireless internet over the weekend. I was "hacking" into a neighbor's system that just came up on my Airport on the Powerbook. Well, after two years of free cable wireless internet...it went away. frown
So Monday, sadly, had to have the cable guys over to hook us up for the service...and pay the big $$$ for the pleasure. Oh Well...it was a...

SO... this was a Journal Entry...not a comment. The Last Samurai? Interesting movieleft me with many unanswered questions. I really loved the basic premise of the storyline and the skein of Buddhist philosophy it held. The connection between war and morality struck a chord in my memory, reminding me of Sun Tzus Art of War. I know its Chinese, but there was a definite connection...

It's very nice to meet you!
I would like to hear more about your upcoming novel, though I know a writer never talks about his/her work wink

So how is Dublin this time of year? I cannot wait to visit Ireland. smile So many greats have come from there..(Oscar Wilde for a start)
The last book I read was "Whoredom in Kimmage-Irish Women Coming of Age" Very interesting.

(about your journal, I'm not a fan of Tom Cruise. The idea of him as a Samurai is just embarrassing to me)

Cheers
