First blog in around 5yrs but this is gonna be a serious one though. Before about a week and a half ago my page on here was inactive and only had just reactived and didn't know what's been going on until I saw a video on IG of a now unfairly archived SG did i know whats is going on. I'm not one for super serious blogs but I felt that I needed to get some words out in this and i've been going back & forth on what to say about this but here we go.
It pains me & breaks my heart to see what is going on right now on this site. It doesn't sit right with me seeing women punished, put on blast, and kicked off this site for bringing up legitimate concerns. It's quite shocking to say the least but not surprising given what's transpired on here in the past and almost nothing has seemed to change over the years. Missy & SGHQ outta be ashamed of themselves.
I stand with the people ( models & members ) who have been archived for speaking out. That shouldn't have happened but it did. No one should ever be punished for speaking out.
For some context on this situation, I felt I should do what others like @kungfury & @charmed are doing and linking blogs
@hartt 's blog: Dairy Of A Hopeful
SG Might Not Be The Right Outlet For You
@nayru 's blog: Let's Talk
@charmed 's blog: One Voice Out Of Millions
@daydream 's blog: Thnks Fr Th Mmrs
I know that there is still a chance that in writing this blog I too as well could get kicked off here like the other members & SG's/SGH's but it'd be worth if it meant speaking up.
Like many people know anyways, SG has going been going downhill for sometime. It's crazy to me that it takes alot for them to make actual positive changes to the site. The amount of favoritism that takes place. The fact that they have to be pushed to be diversive or inclusive is astounding as well.
Part of me can no longer support SG for what it's done. Part of me wants to stay and support the ladies on here and ig like I have been doing and see if there is some significant changes for the good brought forth but history on here has proven otherwise as people continue to leave dissatisfied with the way this site has been handled.
I haven't decided yet if staying or going. Regardless SG isn't in the long term for me My mental health being the lowest it's been through this pandemic. More so months ago but it's been getting better. I've have been falling back on some other hobbies. But I digress though, returning to SG after sometime away I thought that there was some fun to be had but with whats been transpiring currently it's been less so.
Hoping that with this ongoing situation that this is may be finally the thing that enacts some serious changes for the better!
Love and sincerely,
Tom
