Good evening (if you currently have evening;-) ) ladies and gentlemen,
I am back from my third run. The socks and band-aid did wonders, but now my shins are hurting. I probably have to get some new shoes. Even though my current shoes were picked at a sports store after taping a video of me running, the time in my closet has probably not been kind to them. At least i hope that that is the source of the problem. A colleague from work mentioned that the materials harden with time even if you don't use the shoes.
Has anyone an opinion on that?
One the bright side: Even though I had to take a couple breaks by walking for 1-2 minutes in between the running i managed to run/walk 4.8 km / 3 miles. I won't say a word about time or pace. Don't wanna embarrass me ;-)
On a different note: I have been switching between music from different bands and running without music (which is totally out of the question, because i breath as if i am about to die any moment and that is reaaaally demotivating) and today i tried Clawfinger (Deaf Dumb Blind). That seems to do it for me. :-)
This is all for the moment!

cptrogers:
Hey, I just joined SG and was wandering through the introduce yourself forum on the runner's group page and came to check on your progress man! Seems to be your most recent blog and I am curious if you have been able to stick with running? Hopefully you have, always good to hear about new found love with running for people when you're an avid runner like myself.
