Sooo......
Still no internet at home. We can sneak a very weak signal off of a neighbor, but it can be flaky. So poo on that.
My shoot this weekend with detroitphoto went really well. I should be getting the pictures back this week I think. I also got a copy of his book, which I highly recommend to all models. It has hundreds of pictures of poses, with descriptions and tips. It really is a big help.

Recently I had someone buy something from my etsy store - but she didn't want to pay via paypal which is the normal route. She asked if she could send "well concealed cash" and I was like fine because it's only $7. But then she changed her mind and bought a $35 necklace. Cool, more money for me. Well, the cash certainly was well concealed. The outer envelope was completely covered in scotch tape. Inside, there's a receipt of sorts, with order #, price, etc. This is also covered in tape. Inside this is another envelope. Inside this is a bundle of tin foil and a note that says "please send change with necklace." Then there's the cash.
She sent me $40 instead of the $35 that she needed to.
I'm not sure why she couldn't break a $20 bill, but what makes her think I would be able to? So when I sent her the necklace, I didn't send her any change. Today I got an email from her that says "Hi there, I just wanted to let you know, that I received the necklace. It is so beautiful. However, the total was $35, and I sent $40. I didn't receive my change. I was unable to get the correct change, so that is why I sent $40."
I sent her a simple response: "Hello,
I'm glad you like the necklace. I'm sorry about the $5, but I was unable to make change either. This is why I normally prefer paypal."
I'm sure she won't buy from me again. but she can suck it. Maybe she should learn that people aren't banks, and if they make an exception for you, you should send exact change. Don't expect of others what you can't do yourself.
