So finally went to Les Mis with The Wife last night.
For as much as I like theater (both acting and watching) I had never seen it before. And it was quite built up for me.
I liked it well enough.
But...
I'm not a fan of the opera/operetta style. I like some normal dialogue between actors. And no one told me that this was straight song all the way through. Also having never listened to the soundtrack or read the songbook I had some trouble hearing the all the lyrics. about 75% of it was utter sound and no words (at least to me). Very beautiful sounds mind you.
Can't wait for this Sunday for Spamalot. Now that is a play I can relate to.
I went and saw the musical, now where is my bj?
