I'm not sure she is. Communicating by typing, especially in IMs, can lack the emotional element. But she logged off after I said hello without responding. She might have just been in a hurry to go out when I happened to log on. She's often very terse. And sleepy, tired, from her job, which requires the occasional heavy lifting.
