so i don't mean to bitch or be frustrated on here, but i am furious. so about 3 months ago my platoon sergeant told me to start getting ready for the promotion board in march. well he told me this right before i was getting to go on mid tour in February. so i return to Iraq ready to get back to work, and ready for the board to find out i missed the board. it was supposed to be on the 7th, and it was on the 3rd. no problem, 1 more month to study. well i was supposed to be going tomorrow. but i just got back from mission and found out my promotion packet was lost, and i need to wait one more month. i have been in for about 8 yrs now. i should be getting looked at for my promotion to sergeant first class, not sergeant. this is mostly due to giving my opinion when it is not needed, or pissing off the wrong people. namely reenlisting for a different duty station, breaking my team leaders jaw, and telling a battalion command sergeant major at a recruiting battalion to fuck himself i don't wanna be a recruiter. well that is life, i feel better now that i have vented.
