Went to the Sharks game tonight with a few friends. Met up beforehand for dinner with another friend (and occasional bandmate). She plays violin and is a Stanford grad. While in college, she became friends with Condoleeza Rice, who she swears is a great pianist
At the game, I saw Neil Young. He's a fixture at the Shark tank. I helped his son (who is crippled from cerebral palsy) get into the restroom.
And then the Sharks lost 2-1 to the Rangers. Still, an interesting night.

You think I don't know futility.
You, who writes about seeing The Sharks play.
Who do I get to watch - the Blackhawks.
Well, I don't, cos I live in NYC and I refuse to pay extra to see their games this year.
But, most futile of all -
I am a rabid Cubs fan.
My son is named Waveland Sheffield.
I am at least a 4th generation fan. On both sides of the family.
It's in our blood.
I've never met anyone who was alive the last time the Cubs won the world series.
Don't tell me about futility my young friend.
