Thank god for small venues such as the Webster. Where bands still rock the masses and haven't sold out. And I'm not saying that selling out is a bad thing per se (people gotta eat) but nothing is as pure as a band who cares not about ticket sells and only about the sound.
What better way to experience this kind of passion then at a theater where the artists can still sweat on you! This will probably be the closest you'll ever get to the band without being the guy that humps their gear around or the person who is sleeping with the lead singer.
So I say not only support your local artist, but champion the venues that make seeing the possible!
