Played some pickup hockey this weekend. Was my first time playing ice, but I played roller for many years. It's been about 3 years since I've played any hockey at all and probably wasn't a good idea to just jump back into it, but figured I'd be ok cause I had been hitting the gym. It was an hour and a half of non stop play and it was fun as hell. I'm super sore today. Was a WAY better workout than I get at the gym and I have muscles I didn't know I had that are sore. Looking forward to getting back on the ice and getting my skating legs back. I think I'll do stick time and pickup until the next league starts up and jump into one of the beginner divisions so I don't get destroyed while I get used to the ice. So much faster than roller that's for sure.
