Sick as a dog.
Trying to maintain constant positive energy.
Listening to the thunderstorm outside.
Considering the implications of a vegan diet much lower in soy.
Hoping the weather makes it enjoyable to bike to work.

I'm leaving a shady non vegan restuarant to craft vegan food FULL TIME! This was part of my plan for this year, but i coincedently, it seems i'll be implementing much more "pedals not petrol" for the rest of my time here in Columbus.

Oh yeah, vegan birthday cake will be going off SO soon!

oh sweet, i think i have head of that place... or possibly been there. Do they have vegan cookies that you can choose out of a bakery case?
trevallion:
Are you moving here to work at a vegan restaurant or something? Either way, we're great people to hang out with.

Sunday Jive

I have this new love for Sundays. Everyday I work, usually at more than one place - but not Sunday. So today, having no prior obligations, I decided I would take a dig a little bike ride down to the Co-Op (i'm still boycotting Whole Foods) and also make a little stop down at Pattycake Vegan Bakery. At the Co-Op i got hip...

Good Karma Week

After a non-stop 26 hour Greyhound haul I finally made it out to Burlington, VT where I was rescued from the bitter Northeast winter by my NYC hosts Angelina and Dulce. Little did I know after posting a forum request for a floor to sleep on I'd be chilling in a comfy suite at the Inn at Essex outside Burlington. After being...

Good Karma Week:

After a non-stop 26 hour Greyhound haul I finally made it out to Burlington, VT where I was rescued from the bitter Northeast winter by my NYC hosts Angelina and Dulce. Little did I know after posting a forum request for a floor to sleep on I'd be chilling in a comfy suite at the Inn at Essex outside Burlington. After being generously treated to a vegan soup at the culinary resort restuarant, we hit the show and danced to the amazing afrobeat grooves of NYCs' Antibalas. In the morning after missing the early bus to Boston, I was free to peruse the city and dig the college mountain-town in all its snowy glory. A trip to the Onion River Co-op provided me with enough food for the next two days before hiking over to the Hempest store where I picked up some much needed hemp kicks. After a failed attempt to score some grass with a local trailer dwelling kook, I hopped the bus to Boston and took the subway to Cambridge where for the second consecutive night I made it into the sold out show via the guest list (a favor granted by my wonderful host). Another (more cramped) night of dancing ensued and ended with me picking up (3) new (vinyl) records and a "War is a Crime" tee. As if my previous accomodations hadn't been swank enough, I was treated to a free couch in Bostons' Ritz-Carleton again via my host Angelina. Another marathon bus ride ensued the next day taking me back to CBUS where I was greeted by my Art Institute of Seattle acceptance letter. Talk about some good karma...

Two weeks from now I'll learn the status of my application to The Art Institute of Seattle! In the mean time, I'll be taking care of some fresh sleeve ink I got yesterday by my dude Jack down at Fate Tattoo - after almost one year I'm finally down to my last appointment before I can call myself the proud owner of a knuckle to...

I am leaving my first cooking job later this week. After several years at this restuarant, i'm dropping my work load down to two jobs. Hopefully, i'll be able to focus on some tattooing, skate with all my old friends i've been missing, anf have more time to progress some recipes before hopefully finding some work with one or more markets in the area.

Fun. Fun. Wednesday is the best b/c i always get to cook at our lovely veggie/vegan nook downtown - good people, super chill, the best vegan food. I got a $50 holiday bonus (hella) and enjoyed the rest of my night gettting hip to a mediocre indoor skatepark, which would have been uber mediocre if i hadn't come home to some wheatberry/ tvp chili. MMMmmmmm....
