I am so unspeakably happy that Roxy was able come out for a visit for this past week. I am also ecstatic that she is going to be able to come out for sure to the west coast by the end of February. Then those who have only had a chance to hear my schmoopy voice on this end of phone calls will be able to see the sappy, romantic glow on my face when I hold her close in the flesh. Yay!!

This past week was absolutely lovely. We tried to keep her visit on the QT (aka DL) so that we could surprise those folks who were all planning on coming out to the fire classes. People ended up working or unable to make it for some other reason so no one from SG was there when when sprung the surprise on them. Oh well. We got to hang our with tryp and JVB and ams that evening anyway.

We still had a great fire lesson and Roxy decided to focus on staff (which makes her lovin' fire staff boy oh so proud ). Roxy did manage to get annoyed that she only managed to get really comfortable with the hand over hand spin, the two beat upstroke and downstroke both in front and beside her, and turning her body around while spinning hand over hand. She also was doing the three beat figure eight quite well, if not comfortably, but felt for some reason that she should be doing even better than that after spending an hour and a half learning it all!! I think she is doing great and will likely progress pretty fast if she begins to accept that it is a little unfair to expect perfection the instant she tries something new. (Love you sweetness )

Also our zoo, dinner and movie date was a super lovely day. I love watching her at the zoo with her obvious passion for the aminals shining through

Roxy - I love you more each time you let your passion, humour and light shine out...especially when you give me that look that asks why I suddenly needed to tell you how beautiful and adorable you are.
