Big time fun for Tuesday
Theres this girl from Rio in my capoeira group that was inviting everybody to go to the releasing party of a book she wrote about the 2 months she spent riding on foot the San Thiago de Compostela way in Spain (800 km).
She said its all about *discovering your inner self* and that *one doesnt need more than a bottle of water and some bread to go on living*, blablabla and all the cheap talkin 'bout all the sidekicks of modern life against spiritual growth. Paulo Coelho style influences, poor writing for mindless heads kinda stuff. Nothing to care for.
While she spoke, I wondered if i could ever live without fast internet, pizza delivery, videogames, movies, dvd and music players... and all the concepts of *modern life*.
Yup, the answer is a big-round-NO.
My spiritual growth is here and now thanks. The rest is freaky bullshit, sorry. I can't live on photosyntesis. I like to party.
As Douglas Adams says, there's a theory that states that one day the universe will come to an end and will be replaced by something strange and confusing. And there's another theory that states that this has already happened.
I'm for the second one when I meet such kind of people.
Anyway
I didnt care much about the releasing event. But this is the kind of character that makes life much more fun.
So, instead I decided to go to a japanese restaurant and drink a bottle of sake with some friends. Big time fun for Tuesday.
So,
2 months wandering with a backpack and no glamour?
No, thanks. Or am I crazy?
