It being May, some friends of ours held a maypole dance a couple of weeks ago. Music for dance itself was provided by yours truly, playing whistle and hammered dulcimer. This being a celebration with deep pagan roots there was food and drink (especially drink) aplenty. Unfortunately, I don't seem to have a pic of us riding around on a burning-man art car golf cart made out as a ladybug. Someone I know must have got one --- I'll have to check.





Meanwhile, we are continuing to settle into our house. Now, however, there is some question about how long we'll actually be here. I lost my job a week ago , but that actually gives us some flexibility and now we are considering moving to Portland or to San Francisco instead of staying in Reno, assuming that I can find a new job in one location or the other. If you know of any positions that might be suitable for a computational scientist/engineer, please drop me a line. Fortunately, I have enough money saved up to last through several months, at least, and the job market looks fairly good --- not at all like it was after the dot-com crash.
