So I thought I would switch things up a bit from a @bloghomework assignment and talk about a photographer this week, I've been meaning to for some time but just haven't had the time. In the brief time I've been a member on SG, there are so many talented photographers who shoot for the site or aspire to be staffers who are super amazing at what they do and creatively capture the gorgeousness and personalities of SGs and hopefuls. If I can keep this up, I'll try and spotlight as many photographers I'm influenced by and find inspiration in their work. That said, this post is all about the stunning artistry of @lucadenardo and a recap of his sets I seriously could die in.
I feel like every shot in each of his sets is mindfully selected creating visually seamless perfection and putting each of his viewers in a first person voyeuristic perspective. When I first became interested in shooting for SG, I had this preconceived idea that all sets needed to be centered around themes like video games and comic books and part of that idea appealed to me but at the same time I wanted to attempt to approach this medium with fresh eyes behind the lens. That said, I learned very quickly how important it is to study the successes of previous sets and how other photographers are able to capture different angles and just in general what the members of SG really enjoy to see in sets. Always being a diligent student in school, I approached this idea like it was homework wanting to better grasp how to shoot sets while keeping them original with my own aesthetic as an artist. Like any other perverted boy, I grew up ogling over my dad's issues of Playboy even to the extent of where I ended ordering a subscription in his name. Man..was he pissed but in the end somehow worked it all to his advantage receiving a free subscription for a number of years from Playboy to remedy their mistake of allowing a minor to place the order in the first place. Anyway, I'm getting off topic..my point is there was a visual aesthetic in those older issues and centerfolds that always stuck with me and my stylistic approach to my own work as both a painter and photographer. That same quality is present in everything @lucadenardo shoots whether for his own work or for SG. He had a blog post earlier in the year that really stuck with me, I think mostly because a lot of the ideas and motivation he was discussing about his own work are very similar to same ones I have and want to show through the sets I shoot for SG and in general through any of my work. Let Me Make it Clear is what it's called and is worth the read, to get his insight in his own words..it's inspiring as an artist. Regardless his work is so amazing, it truly speaks for itself, now I know you'd love me to blab all over this blog post but let's geek out for a bit and drool over his work and the stunning SGs and hopefuls who make these images a true work of art. I'm pretty sure @natashalegeyda is his ultimate SG muse as everything they've shot together is perfection and their newest set in MR, Sun-Kissed which I have no doubt will find itself on FP in no time.
This is the third set, the pair have shot together for SG and they continue to raise the bar with each set as far as collaborations go. Their first was @lucadenardo's debut set to the site and clearly sets the stage and level of expectation we should have in the quality of work he shoots. It's called, Old Style Seduction and is flawless.
The set in between is a multi, 2 Dots Become 1 Circle shot with both @natashalegeyda and @ultima I don't think there are words to describe how mind blowing that set is..I'm pretty sure I'd feel uncomfortable looking at that set in a public place..haha..it's so erotically charged in a classic tasteful manner, one's imagination can run wild.
There just seems to be this masterful chemistry he has with his subjects and beautifully shines through in their work together. His set with @ultima Whispers also currently in MR is another perfect example of how you viewer, feel welcomed as a voyeur in her set..she wants you to know she's aware you're watching her.
Now let's over for a minute to some of the hopefuls he's shot with as well. I'm not quite sure why his set, Nuances of Eros shot with the gorgeous @damaged has not made it on FP yet..Look for yourself she should clearly be Pink!
I know right..if you haven't had a chance to yet, go give her set the much deserved love it should get. Another hopeful set with @briarrose613 Golden Butterfly is currently in MR and is very swoon worthy.
The first @lucadenardo set that honestly caught my attention was Watch Me Out that Window with @mermaid It's so gorgeous and so inviting, and feels to me like sex on a Sunday afternoon if that makes sense and will always be one of my favorite sets on SG.
If your attention has waned a bit I apologize, I have a tendency to ramble on if you're not familiar with my blog posts..Hopefully the sheer beauty of @mermaid reigned you back in..I promise we're very close to our finish line. Now at this point, if you're keeping count at all three of the sets I've mentioned have been Set of the Day, he has two more which have made FP in his short stint of shooting sets for SG and if you haven't caught on yet, I really think more of them should be. Green and Violet with @lillibayle
And 1000 Pin-ups with @pandub
Finally we have his most recent set in MR, Raw with @eden Like its title and description, it's pure raw beauty. This set feels to like a dream you never want to wake up from.
Yup..I'm totally ending on that note..I hope you enjoyed my little spotlight on @lucadenardo and all the breathtaking sets he's shot with the mind numbingly gorgeous women he has shot with..I really hope at some point in my career our paths will cross and we get an opportunity to collaborate together and shoot with some of stunning Italian women, SGs and hopefuls.
As always thanks everyone along with my three favorite ladies @rambo @missy and @lyxzen for your time šš¼š
