i sometimes forget that people out there... ie.. those of you reading .. dont actually know me.
i tend to write.. type... as though i'm addressing some other aspect of myself. most of the time anyhow.
would you believe that i'm in arkansas at the moment. mostly i don't. i move around a lot. a lot a lot. a year ago i was in nyc. 6 years ago i was in chicago. before all of that and in some in between time i habited the st.louis area. last summer... i was a bit of everywhere over the course of 8000 miles.
i've been in arkansas since september. long story.. perhaps i'll tell another time. the longest i've lived at one address since the day i turned 18 is one year. i seem to change addresses about once ever 6 months.. sometimes more than that. i change location drastically about every 2 years. so.... uh.. for a run down... 1997-99 i was in chicago, 99-2001 in small towns surrounding st.louis (mostly on the illinois side), jan 2002- june 2004 various parts of nyc area (yonkers, staten island, queens), then last summer.. was one hell of a road trip from buffalo, ny where i bought my van then stopping in st.louis, arkansas, austin TX, TorC NM, phoenix, san diego, los angeles, san fran, reno NV, BRC NV, boulder CO, and then landed here..... in college town hell.
i'm looking to get out as soon as i can get the funds together to pay off some debts and have enough saved up that i can survive 2 months without having to scramble for a job in LA. that is the plan of the moment anyhow.
have a screening for a lab rat study tomorrow... so i'm eating lots of spinach today. its an easy 3 weekend study for $1000... granted i need 6 times that in order to feel comfortable hitting the road with all of my belongings again... but its a start.
whats sad is that all of the debt on my credit card is either school tuition or food. occasionally gas. and to think some girls max out their credit cards buying shoes....
blargh. i'm really glad i don't fit into stereotypes. i like a lot of gray area to play in.

Good luck with the research job; several years ago I worked a few shifts at a lab in Phoenix and I saw it can get pretty intense.
