Hey you, do this!
I have a busy weekend and it hasn't even started yet. I don't usually make plans in advance, but I have a bunch of stuff this weekend. Tonight is haircut, DC, Baltimore. Tomorrow is my brother's 20th birthday, I know we are going out to dinner but I don't know what else is going on. Sunday I'll probably go to a hardcore show in Baltimore to see my friend's band Nick X Fury play, since I've never seen them play or heard their music before. I do so much work to promote my friends' projects without knowing anything about what they are doing.
I went out to dinner with my friend Kathy last night and we bitched a lot about how old we felt, which basically all had to do with the fact that we can't get wasted every night of the week anymore. I feel like that might have to do with the level of complexity and responsibilty of our jobs, more than our ages. Then she put everything on her corporate credit card and is going to write it off as a business expense, since she was in Baltimore for business. We also commiserated about how hard it is to get out of bed in the morning when the person you slept with doesn't have to get up at any time in particular. Having a real job is a gift and a curse.
