On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month nations across the world stop and pause for two minutes of silence to remember those who have given all in the hope of peace and freedom.
Also those in uk and indeed many of the commonwealth wear a little poppy on their breast in honour of them. There are some who won’t do this as they are scared to offend people I personally call those people pathetic, it was the lives of young men and women who over the years have given their lives so you can walk in relative peace.
Some will scorn this as they will call it racist but as has been documented it was people of many faiths and creed that fought, from Christian to Muslim and all other faiths.
So I as k when at that hour others stop please be respectful and maintain the silence and think of them.
They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the setting of the sun and in the morning
We shall remember them.
When you go tell them of us say,
For their tomorrow we gave our today.
