Demanding that @helenarae and the other girls on the site be treated as actual persons will never be “white knighting” in my book.

Ever notice how no one ever comes out of the blue to accuse you of white knighting?  I've never ever heard that from someone else in a forum or live or whatever who's been cruising along respectfully.  It's always the obvious entitled shit-throwing monkey who's been annoying or offending everyone else.  These guys always identify the same problem with "white knighting": that you're doing it to look good or earn favor with women.  Firstly... interesting that they assume that's a bad thing.  Yeah, I want to look good to good people. It sure beats working to show what an ass you are.  And I fail to see the problem in getting a woman notice me in a positive way.  But more importantly, I think that people can only imagine in others what we recognize in ourselves.  And these guys obviously can't believe that anyone would bother to stick their necks out just because it's the right thing to do, or because it helps create the kind of world they want to live in, or even simply because it might help someone else out.  If they can't imagine any of those impulses in me, it means they don't possess them themselves.  The greatest proof of their disability is how loudly they unknowingly proclaim it to everyone else.
