I feel lazy. I got insurance through work for the first time in about 6 years and one of the perks are that I get reimbursed for joining a health club if I go 12 times a month. Today was the first day I didn't go since last Thursday and since then I've swam almost two miles.
A year ago I was probably in he best shape I've been in since I got out basic training (USArmy) back in 1995, but since last May when I got hit by a stupid fucking S.U.V. while riding my bike home from work I've been too hurt to work out effectively or consistently.
I'm excited to finally do something to counter my full time job of sitting on my ass all day driving around town in a Mack truck.
My goal is to swim at least three miles a week for the next month... Then I want to up it to swimming 5 miles per week. It's probably the best work out for me since both my knees give me trouble from the accident.
