of course, if you were to look over this bridge yourself, you would not see the word photomatix hovering over the river in various locations.
I don't know yet whether I want to pay for the non-trial version of photomatix and put it on this computer, or wait and get a desktop with a lot more memory. This laptop which has been my connection to the world for the past two years is totally maxed when it's processing HDR and tonemappped photographs. A good time to practice geetar or read something while it cooks the images.
Today I ran into a slight cognitive glitch when I did an HDR of an image I acquired yesterday. The way I did up the image it doesn't look very "HDR" in the way a lot of images look glaringly hdr. I came up with a very natural looking result, which called into question whether I had in fact helped the image at all making an hdr out of it rather than just using the straight photograph, maybe with some photoshopping. The HDR image is in fact nicer than the single exposure equivalent, it has better color and is less harsh contrastwise.
I've now been at Coca-Cola for a year. There needs to be an emoticon which stands for "I'm glad I'm not one of the 600,000 people who lost their jobs in january, but that aside, i find it impossible to be really happy on mondays, knowing what I'm going to go through and how it's going to feel while I'm going through it, tuesday through friday." On mondays I debate, should I enjoy music and life, or just sit in silence and try to enjoy the feeling of having a relaxed and refreshed body, for the last hours that I'm going to feel that way.
