Soooo, I went and saw the Lion King musical tonight with my mom. It was a *very* good show. I'm amazed at how well they did the costuming. I always love seeing live performances.
Although due to getting ready for a class she's taking, it looks like I may be making a solo run to the beach tomorrow. Which isnt neccessarily a bad thing. I enjoy when I get to see my mom, but there's nothing wrong with a relaxing cruise down highway 101 on my motorcycle, either.
So I called Atlas today to set up my appointment. Unfortunately, Dan Gilsdorf is out until November! So I dont have an appointment set up yet. I'm thinking I may drop by, and have a look at some of the other artist's portfolios in person. I'm assume they'd have bigger portfolios in the shop. Jennifer Billig's work looked pretty nice as well. I just know that I want to be sure my colours turn out vibrant.
In other news, I'm annoyed with myself. More and more often while I'm out, I'll notice women smiling at me or whatnot. Tonight, down at the Keller fountain park, there was a very cute hippie-ish girl who was wading in the pools with her dress hiked up to her knees. Totally looked like the type of girl I'd dig. She gave a friendly smile, a small wave, and mouthed the word hi in my direction when she saw me look at her. I did the same back, but that was it. I'd like to say that I didnt go talk to her because my mom was along with me. But I know better. I'm just....NOT good at that sort of thing. One of these days, I *really* need to pull my head out of my ass and go talk to random girls that catch my eye. Especially if they seem interested in talking to me! Anyone wanna grab my shoulders and give me a really hard kick in the rear? I'm pretty sure my head might be stuck in here!
