Another month is wrapping up, and things have still been eventful. I guess it's been a good mix though.
The fourth of July was fun. I went out to watch the fireworks with Petal at the waterfront, and we discovered a new little section of town we'd never explored. It was fun to find out about all the cozy little places to eat down in the RiverFront community. Of course, coming home from the fireworks to find water dribbling out of our ceiling was a bit of a surprise. It took a few weeks, but the building maintenance people finally traced it down to a faulty AC unit of our upstairs neighbor. It was venting it's condensation out underneath his floor. Now we're waiting for them to get the droopy part of our ceiling fixed!
The next weekend was also a bit of a downer given that on Sunday we found out our water heater was sort of broken, and then in the evening I broke a tooth. Yay for unexpected bad crap! Only just this past friday did we finally get a plumber that seemed to know what he was doing. Third try is a charm, I suppose. If any of you have water heater problems, I reccomend you call "Stan the Hot Water Man" before anyone else. It's only been a couple days, but I've enjoyed multiple hot showers without any surprises so far!
I got the tooth fixed the following week. I was reminded how much I like my dentist. Rather than getting a crown, I got an onlay. They removed all the damaged area of tooth, then took a bunch of images of what was left. Those images were imported into a computer system that picked out the perfect tooth to go in my mouth, and then milled it out of a block of ceramic. Only took one visit, and it wasnt even particularly unpleasant. I didnt much care for the price tag though. $435 even after insurance.
On the 10th the new system finally "Went Live" at my office. It's great to finally have that project out of the way. I'm still keeping super busy at work what with all the little bugs and such that keep popping up (seriously, I am starting to hate Printers with a passion), but there is so much less stress now. And, I know at least that even if my work doesnt give me the raise/promotion that I've been angling for, this project has given me a hell of a lot of good experience to add to my resume.
So..... Thursday I surprised myself a little by ordering a PS3 60gb. I was able to get it for a pretty decent price after coupons and cashback. I'm not entirely sure why I bought it just now, as there arent many games for it that interest me at the moment. But I have been wanting a high def video player. I wonder if any of my friends on here have PS3s? Once mine arrives, I'll need some people to play with!
I had some other stuff I was going to write about, but this blog has already become far too long. I know I've said it before, but I think this time I may actually resume more active on here again. Since getting my new laptop I've been spending a bit more time at the computer whilte at home. I even went to AtomicAnt's BBQ and had a great time and met new people. Yay for attending events!
On that subject, please welcome JSG1979 to the site. He's a good friend of mine that I've known since Jr High. He's definitely good people, and I'm glad I finally convinced him to join SG. Now I'll need to talk him into hosting some events at the house he bought early this year.
That's all for now. Sorry this has been so long. Maybe if I start posting more often, these can be short enough that people might actually read them.

Ha ha ha, I love you. I'm so lucky to have a smooshie, mooshie, lovie-dovie boyfriend.
