It's June 1st already! And boy am I glad to have May over with. Talk about a busy/interesting/bad/good month!
May was pretty much a roller coaster ride for me. Work has been growing more and more hectic as we get closer to changing over to our new pratice management system there. And while that's been stressing me to no end, at least I'm getting a lot of good experience out of it. I set up my first SQL server, and have been having to make minor modifications to it here and there. Not to mention adding an Exchange server as well as lots of other nice things to go on my resume. On the downside, I think (hope) that this new twitch I've developed in my right eye is stress related. Either that or I'm about to flip out (like a ninja).
First week of May I found a screaming deal on a laptop, and had to order it. Hard to argue with a widescreen Core Duo with 160gb hard drive, DL DVD burner, and GeForce 7300 for only $639. I was pretty pumped.
That went away pretty fast when my bag was stolen from my office a day and a half after it arrived. They got my bag, my new laptop, my iPod, prescription sunglasses, and quite a few other things I'd have been pretty happy keeping. Ugh. My office building has started getting targeted pretty heavily, too. They're adding a lot more locks as there have been 3 more thefts in the 3 weeks since.
Fortunately, while my work's insurance wouldnt cover it, they did replace my laptop. I was able to get another for the same deal, so I'm typing this update from it.
Then the 21st marked mine and Petal's 1 year anniversary. It's been quite a long while since I've dated anyone for a year. The only other was right around a year, and pretty stormy, so this has become my longest relationship.
Then a few days later my XBox 360 bricked itself. The red ring of doom appeared, and it turned itself into a pretty odd looking paperweight. I am lucky on two counts though. Firstly, it's still under warranty, and I'm waiting for the box to send it in for servicing. Second, my cool girlfriend loaned me her xbox in the meantime. Yay, uninterrupted gaming!
May definitely was not my month technology wise. I guess I should just be glad I didnt somehow set fire to the servers at work.
How was your month?

Yep, it's $30 a month compared to the ridiculous amount of parking tickets and towing fees I was getting parking next to my building.
