well, my hard drive is toast but there are people online who have fixed them. Seagate is being lame about it. DO NOT BUY SEAGATE OR MAXTOR HARD DRIVES!!. Go with western digital.
I have an email to a guy in the bay area who fixes them for $100 so hopefully that will pan out.
