I haven't mentioned this here before but I collect original comic book art - it can be an expensive hobby but it's amazing to be able to hold in your hands the physical artwork created by people you have admired for years...
I have small collection but it's one I'm proud of and today I thought I'd share a recent acquisition with you. It's a piece that I bought after I'd decided to cut back on my spending... but once I saw it I had to have it! I have a few pieces by the same artist (Sam Kieth) who I've loved since I first started collecting comics many many years ago!
But he has a big following and a lot of his work goes for big bucks - so the pieces I have weren't really stellar examples of his work... but this to me sums up Kieth amazingly well and I can just lose myself looking at it... I get drawn into the scene and I want the happiness these characters have... that peacefullness of sleeping on a loved-ones lap...
Anyway here is the artwork - I hope you enjoy...
