First up I don't think I ever really mentioned it here but last year I lost a lot of weight... I mean a lot! I've actually started to put a little back on now - but I'm still happy with the changes in my body from this time last year.
Anyway here's some evidence - here are my old fat guy pants (circa 2005) which I'm wearing over my new jeans I bought for my birthday a few months back! As you can see there is quite a difference!
So anyway I go to New York in just under three weeks time and then onto New Jersey to attend Kevin Smith's Vulgarthon film festival (which will be the fifth one and I'm lucky enough to have been to all but one) - the highlight this time will be seeing Clerks 2 before it's released!
So anwyay I was Douglas Fir on the View Askew websites long before I was Douglas Fir here so most people know me as Doug at these things. So for this year I've made a custom shirt just 'cause I'm a geek like that... so here's me looking fucking goofy for the camera!
Here's a close-up of the front - it's Vulgar the Clown (View Askew's old mascot) flanked by Jay and Silent Bob as drawn by Clerks: The Cartoon's Chris Bailey based on an idea by myself and also digitally coloured by my own fair hand!
And just so this post isn't all about me here's some pics of my mates (Lee and Kellie's) kids:
First up is Kaya - now she's three she doesn't really like posing for photos so I was lucky to get this one!
Next up is Morgan who is 1⅔ and is as cute as a button!
And finally we have Mackenzie who is 5 months old - as you can see Morgan loves her little brother
They're great kids and they really put a smile on my face... heck I'm smiling now! So I'll end on that...
Monday Update:
So on the bus tonight there was just this incredibly sexy goth girl... I mean goth girls are pretty slim on the ground around here anyway but this girl was something else entirely anyway... she was simply stunning. She had these beautiful Sherilyn Fenn eyes (which, if you know me and more importantly know my attraction to Sherilyn Fenn, is a great compliment) and I just couldn't help but keep sneaking glances at her... but I couldn't bring myself to say anything to her... what can you say ("Excuse me, I couldn't help but notice your incredible eyes and I just wanted to thank you for making that half hour wait in the rain for this bus worthwhile"... which would come out as "Ummmmm... Hi") - hell I couldn't even tell how old she was she could have been a teenager for all I know. Still it's nice to know I can still get myself in a knot over the opposite sex!
