Things were a bit interesting yesterday...
I am a new stepmom and some of you may know, this can be a hard transisition for all. I also disagree with whoever came up with "terrible twos." Nope, not over here in this gals house. Kaela will be 4 in 2 wks and I would have to say that it's "Funtime Fours" in the most sarcastic way possible.
Oh, man, she was a handful yesterday. She's trying to see how far she can push me until she doesn't get away with something, and I've walked in on a situation where the mother doesn't do much discipline. By that, I mean she's used to getting her way all the time and acts like a shit when she doesn't.
I come from the south and the term "Because I said so" was all you needed to hear. In turn, you said, "Yes Ma'am or Yes Sir." I learned you respect your elders, blah blah, etc...
I had a long talk with Danny and a good discussion, actually. I needed to know he was on my side. I don't want to come on the scene immmediately jumping to the role of mean stepmom.
We nipped some shit in the bud last night, made some headway...hopefully. We'll have to see.
Boring entry, I know...just had to vent about it for a minute.

About that, thank you so much for thinking well of my little furry girl. She's...okay. An infection but a treatable one in 2 weeks time.
