took a spur-of-the-moment trip to the mountains sunday evening about 11pm..picked up a good friend and took off....it was great, it was just what i needed...to clean the cobwebs, to feel the fresh air on my face and be reminded of how beautiful it is here in green north carolina.i am fortunate.

every time i move to a city, the mountains suck me back in. finding field mice and flying squirrels in my house is a much lesser evil than roaches and rats.

and the air is clearer.

and the tap water tastes better than bottled.
