Did you know that fun adventure is possible even when everything goes wrong?

I decided I would drive the 3 hours last night to NJ for a show. Needed an oil change. Figured I may as well get a few other things fixed while I was at it. And 230 dollars later i was back on the road. Shit. The bonus about this is that...

I've been lost in Jersey a few times... For the most part, the locals suck and could care less about helping you. Turnpike here, toll booth there, gas stations that you can't pump your own gas at, and endless, endless lines for coffee at the WaWa...
The three best things about jersey: 1. Atlantic City
2. Jersey girls 3. ... okay maybe there are only two good things
Jersey blows..

I live six hours from the place but I keep attracting them like flies for some reason... There's something about their toughness and possesiveness that's oddly appealing. Maybe it's my subconcious Oedipus complex?

i actually just got the new tomahawk on saturday for only 7.99 (i love used cds). i've also taken my regular post back at my local record store so i've gotten a whole lot of cool stuff like the new deftones, the new blur, the new blue man group, the drive by truckers, a whole bunch of other stuff. if there's anything you're interested in, let me know and i'll tell you if i have it or can get it, and i can burn you a copy or turn it into mp3s or something.

it's great how much movement helps stress. today i worked all day mopping and scrubbing carpets and floors with my mom (she cleans houses for a living) and halfway through i realized my headache was gone. Of course, all that work will bring on soreness, but at least it'll be non stress related.

Adventure is ringing doorbells, watching cows, and giving a basketball to strangers.

rickroyal:
An intersting adventure. Hmm.

Has anyone ever told you that you have very nice lips? Quite nice.
rickroyal:
I'd've also complimented you on your cute nose, but the lips seemed more appealing at the moment. Quite kissable, it seems.

Good luck on getting the wisdom teeth out. I'm more than a little nervous for my own. Hope your's go easily and will little pain.

I'm starting to feel like I know what corespondence chess feels like, make you move, mail it, then wait for a response. Right..
Created your own major, huh? You should have just gone to Hampshire and fit right it. Was that hard at UMASS? Every expierence i've ever had there that kind of thing doesn't seem possible.
I hate birthdays, well I hate my birthday, not the date b/c I rather like that, it being six months from christmas, is perfect but the whole "having a birthday" thing doesn't bring me joy.. I had a really shitty expierence a couple of years and it kind of soured the whole thing for me.
Where would I move? If money was no object?
New Zealand or Ireland. I've also always wanted to go to Japan but I can't say if i would move there b/c I've never been. Wait that logic sucks b/c i've never been to either of those places. What about you on both those questions?
Do you know the difference between Mean and Median? I am willing to wager you do, no cheating.
actuallynotyou:
How did I know that you would know the difference? Two words, graphic technology. I know lots of umass students that never took a five college course, UMASS and Amherst are the two worst at that. This is kind of gonna be shorter than i wanted b/c I dont have much time, i'm going out of town until next week, again.
You are going to school for Education, do you want to be a teacher? I have been thinking about that as well, going to grad school for that b/c I like teaching.
I think the most frightening part of living in northampton is that everyone in the surronding areas think that it is a cultural center, I couldn't agree with what you said more. There has to be someone somewhere doing something even if we can't find it. Ok i'm now off to Portland, ME then NYC.
Did you go see Tomahawk in boston?
What's the difference between accurate and percise?

I had always thought that I would stop posting and leave the sight the first time someone actaully made a comment on my jorurnal, since its happenes its really strange. Since you like Woody Allen, I think its fair to comment that I'm watching a Woody Allen movie right now. It wasn't until college that I discovered the brilliance of that man. I am officially never writing anything here, but you can post and I will write to you. Writing to people is so much easier that just writing.
morgan:

congrats on graduating. i plan on trying to be a music journalist when i enter the real world. what are you doing now that you're out in the real world? oh, and i find that if i try and make myself write something, i don't like what comes out. i just find something to be inspired by and let it flow. maybe that will help you?

Your Strong Bad quote on Morgan's journal is my 'current crush' answer. smile (tho I added the ARROWED! ooow my skin!)
morgan:
not only does being an adult suck, being an adult with a conscience or a particular political stance can suck a lot to. For example I want my personal actions to reflect my feminist beliefs as much as possible, and my beliefs in human rights in general. This means I have to do a lot of questioning of myself and others.

bell hooks wrote something along the lines of "standing up for yourself is never fun". it's too too true frown
