Well, the iBook people foned yesterday to tell me that although they foned on wednesday to tell me that my laptop wouldn't be here on wednesday as they had previously told me, it would be here on thursday (yesterday). They tell me this at half past one in the afternoon, when I would have to leave the house precisely an hour earlier to even think about getting to my lecture at 2 oclock. So now I missed part of a movie in Slavonic Studies, and don't even have a sodding laptop to show for it!!!
They inform me that it will be arriving tomorrow morning (saturday), which is a lot of use, seeing as I'll be working from 2 til 6, then going out on the piss immediately after that for Tim's birthday and so probably won't even get to use the damn thing until somewhere around 4 oclock sunday afternoon, unless I plug it in to charge it before I go to work tomorrow, then find it when I'm drunk and piss around with it for a while at 4 am.
I now have less than a week to do my Slavonic Studies essay.
Plus, Mark from Splash studios double-booked us for today, so the recording of the album gets put back a week. I slept in, so I foned Ian to tell him that. Turns out he's still in his bed while I'm rushing out the door, cos he knows about the cancellation and neglects to tell me! Good thing I have some sort of concience, or I'd be halfway (or, indeed all the way) to Paisley before I figure out that it's cancelled.
I also had a dream last night about going back to school, (when I say back to school, I mean BACK, because in the dream I was the age I am now and everyone was younger than me) and we were on the bus home, when the driver decides to do some "Dukes of Hazzard" shit and flip the bus sideways in a barrel roll on every roundabout he comes across. The weird thing is, I'm seeing the bus barrel rolling from the outside, like in a computer game, when I'm supposed to be in it... So eventually he gets it wrong, and the bus ends up on its side next to a hill. So we rip off the emergency doors and slide down the hill. Wtf?!!
The next dream sequence I remember is being in a taxi, driving by the scene and the taxi driver goes "Have you seen that? Fucking bus crashed and flipped over!" and I say "Yeah, I was on it." What the fuck did I eat before I went to bed?
