Well, Hypocrisy was fucking brutal, and seriously good. Sanguinus (Stu's band) were supporting and they kicked a fair amount of ass, with a bit of polishing of the stageshow they'll be seriously good. Noctiferia were after Sanguinus, a sort of growlier-than-Rob-Zombie-crossed-with-Soulfly industrial metal band. They were totally playing to the wrong crowd, but me and Puppy gave all we were worth to make them feel better (because they were excellent, tight as a badger's) and to try to drown out the shouts of "yer'e gash!" from the back. Haha.
Then Hypocrisy walked onstage and booted ass into orbit. I was pleasantly surprised, having never heard them before, but hell, they put on a good show.
I also bumped into AnnaLee at the show and said hi, so that was great, too. Thanks for not telling me to fuck off!!! Hehe.
In other news, I went out and bought myself a new guitar, a second hand 1980s (possibly early 1990s) Squier Telecaster. It's burgundy red with a black scratchplate and a maple fretboard and it's gorgeous. It's also the first non-rosewood fretboarded guitar I've ever bought. That brings me up to... 8 guitars at the last count. Hooray for retail therapy!
I feel slightly better.
