We traveled to Texas this past weekend to visit my boys at their dad's. It was opening weekend at TRF, where their father owns a shop, and they work there. Since I've never been to Houston (actually never been to Texas, come to think of it) and I wanted to see where they live, and hell, just see them, we went out for Columbus Day weekend. Spent two days at the faire which is freakin' huge, lemme tell you, and then Monday we stayed at the hotel, letting the boys swim in the pool and then into Houston proper to check out the galleria. My dad joined us on the trip and he insisted on paying for just about everything, so it was a relatively inexpensive weekend (not counting the airfare and hotel and rental car, which was prepaid a couple of months ago.) Did some early holiday shopping for people while we were wandering the grounds, and took some interesting pictures of people, which I feel could only be described as "what were you thinking??" I think my favorite was this chick called "Kat." The reason I'm amused is she saw me snap the photo and she said, "I wish you had warned me. I would have hid the cup of beer; it's hardly period." Why is this funny? Cuz this is what she was wearing:
