Haven't posted in a llittle while. Trying to be more frequent with this here blog thing xP
My tattoo apprenticeship is going so beautifully, guys. I feel so honored and blessed and giddy....Aaaaaaggh just so happy right now
Last friday was one of the best days of my artistic life!
The artist I'm apprenticing under, Michelle, is really good friends with Damon Conklin, who's the owner of Super Genius Tattoo on Pike in Seattle, and is one of the guys that runs the Seattle Tattoo Expo. He's a phenomenal artist, on skin and on canvas, and Michelle took me and two of the other people from her shop to Seattle on friday night to paint with him!
I was thrilled just to meet the guy, but to spend all night just hanging out in his shop painting was like a dream come true! I really felt like an apprentice for the first time.
I've never painted with oils before so he helped me figure it out, and gave me some amazing advice.
Haha he's the kind of guy that if you seem interested in what he has to say...he'll just never stop talking. Love it xD
At one point I just stopped painting and sat behind Damon just to watch him work.
Funny, he hates being called Bob Ross, but he has the same 'fro and paints just as quickly haha
It was glorious to be around such talent <3
Haha well there goes my little rant. Just so happy right now xD
Thanksgiving was alright, but not that exciting!
We did spend a while looking through baby pictures of my brother and I so I thought I'd leave you with this little gem...
