So I think the music fairy came and left me a CD. I don't know where this came from, but Matt found this CD in my car and for the life of me I can't remember where it came from. At all.
It's really amazing, neither Matt and I can remember having ever heard of it but it's full of really great members, including the guy from Blur and another guy from The Clash... Not knowing what the CD was I threw it in my laptop today when I was getting around after my shower and couldn't believe what I heard, it's excellent.
It's nice when something positive and without explanation happens like that. If somebody reading this who I hang out with IRL has any idea where this came from, or it's yours, let me know, I had no intention of stealing it, but if nobody claims it I will gladly keep it
It is storming here, and it's such an amazing storm. Matt called me to come outside to our front porch, we stared in awe at the lightning - it was nonstop. Seriously, we sat out there for awhile and it's like nature's strobe light. It's kind of eerie. I really love monsoon season.
I've been enjoying my time off between jobs, spent some quality time with my best friend Engelking today, it was great. It's a little weird having all this time on my hands, but I like it. I can't wait to get up north tomorrow. There are supposed to be storms there as well, and the high temps range in the 70s-80s, while the lows are mid 40s-50s. Should be really nice. I started doing this 12-week plan I found in Outside magazine. It's geared for a triathlon, but I replaced the swimming practice with running... Days like today are shorter, where I'll just run 3 miles and do a quick core workout. Days like yesterday are the long ones, where I do 60 minutes on the bike and then hit the weights for another hour.
