the past few days have been so much fun. i love winter break. on wednesday i got back from williams. my roommate engelking was home and he mentioned going to get dinner with some friends of ours and then to a movie. i didn't want to do anything crazy at the time, so i thought it was a great idea. well we went to a sketchy chinese buffet and then off to a place called the dubliner to have a beer or two before the movie. a guy got on stage to sing and at first we were unimpressed, but after a few songs we were having such a great time we blew off the movie. the dude fucking sang dio and he was playing an acoustic guitar! it was great. a little taste:
this was him doing "holy diver" i apologize for the poor quality of my camera phone. anyway, near the end of the night we were pretty plastered so we started requesting really weird songs. we asked him to do "fuck her gently" by tenacious d. he agreed, on the condition that we would get on stage and sing. i jumped up and made engelking get up there too. here are a couple pics from that mess:

last night was pretty fun too, our friend tim is in town from california, so we first went to mill for some beers and to meet up with some friends. then we all went and met up with a bunch of people to watch the suns game at buffalo wild wings (great game, sucked they lost though
) after that we played bar trivia at the george and dragon and tied for second place. i love bar trivia, it's not the tv trivia that they have at lots of bars, but the real deal where somebody asks the questions and you write the answers and try to win bar money. we did well, i think this may become a regular thing for me on thursdays now that there is no dart league. after trivia we picked up herotozero and had a few birthday drinks, since it was technically his birthday (it was after midnight.) by the way, go tell the man happy birthday if you haven't already done so!!!
i just saw a ghost too -- Kflick actually stopped by just a little bit ago!
