Yeah so much like before, I haven't said anything for a while. I am back in Chico now. I was up visiting my dad and step-brethren at lake Tahoe for a week, which was quite fun. I got to take alot of photos up there, its such a beautiful place to photograph. The only down side was I was staying with my step-brother and his girlfriend and a total of 4 children between 9 months and 10 years old. This was quite a strain on me, as I do not relate to children well. I'm fine with babys, as long as I dont have to touch any body fluids or hold them, as Im sure I would break their neck on accident. I can just smile at them and make faces and they seem to be content with that, but when they are slightly older, they say things to you and you are expected to respond. This is where problems seep in. I got treated to a number of jokes inevitable related to poop, or the deposition of poop, as well as why "Idaho" is an apparently hilarious name for a state.
Then, I get back home to a few pleasant suprises. First, of course I find my bank has been lying about how much money I had in my account and has charged me $130 in overdraft fees, which happens every time I leave town. What proved to be even more enjoyable, however, was that when I get home I am informed that my roommate's boyfriend had come to town with her a week ago, and she broke up with him a few days before I got back, but he didn't have any means of getting back home until just yesterday. So its been four very uncomfortable days around the house.
But, on a much brighter side, I decided to celebrate the bank putting me in the red, by spending more money. I decided that I really wanted a twelve string, and had not gotten to play one in a long time. So I began to look on ebay for a relatively cheap one, idealy used and a few decades old. But, I ended up geting a new Alvarez AD60S-12. Based on many reviews I read it seems to be highly lauded for its price, which is apparently $430 retail, and I only paid $170 so...
Here's a picture.
Nothing special, but its pretty clean/not stupid looking, and thats all I could hope for looks-wise in a cheap guitar, hopefully it sounds decent and doesnt have shitty action.
