I think that I am becoming more like Frank Pembleton. No expectations. No Doubts. No Heart. It's all in the caffeine.

_bossanova_:
Thanks for cheering me up about the holiday! It was a busy one, kinda, and hazy thanks to lots of pain meds. I'm so excited about coming home but I wish I had more time to spend there.

How're you doing these days? How'd you spend the holiday?
_bossanova_:
We missed you Tuesday night! I wish I could've spent more time in Atlanta. It's always hard to leave.

I picked against uga in my college pick'em brackets. I'll admit that I made a huge mistake, but their offense and defense been fucking around all year. What I am suppose to do?!

Ellington had his style but Stan Getz is where it's at, mister. His sax just oozes sex.

It is time to consolidate my on-line presence. I barely use certain social networking sites anymore.

It is early November and I am in Young Harris again for the GACDL Fall Seminar. I love this mini-vacation. It allows me to hit the open road, drive along some of the back roads of North Georgia, and to be in the mountains. I feel that it gives me a chance to catch my breath and get re-centered. Well, enough introspection. I'm going to...

I am making a serious effort to write a journal entry about a great Halloween weekend from years gone by.

Actually....

Yeah, probably. There are several clerks/first years that I'm working with that don't want to let others read their shit. I think that is the most counterproductive inclination ever. Writing is a process...

(I'm actually not sure why I wrote what you responded to. The only times I've been posting online have been the times I've been drinking lately. My best guess as to what I meant is that. )

How often do you get the time to work on something that you are proud to put your name to as an attorney? I thought I had one or two just recently, but in retrospect, I hate what I wrote.... I can see the promise of writing, but the actuality of it retrospectively crushes me. I don't know that I can handle adversarial critiques. I can deal with constructive critiques, but 5 on 1 bashing...ouch. How often do you have to deal with that kinda thing?

OW OW OW.

But I reckon you are talking about fictions. In such a situation, do you want blood letting or do you want a pat on the back?
