Welcome to Spring Time: I hope the first three months of the year have been great for you. There is a heavy and negative energy going around the planet at a higher level than usual. It is my hope that many of you are not making room for this to settle into your daily lives. This year seems to be trying to balance out things from the past. At least the first quarter has been purifying and creating growth experiences for most. It is an art to patiently let it pass, learn from it and move on ahead.
I have been traveling for most of the last two months. I have been visiting the Caribbean and Mexico. Listening, watching and interacting with indigenous folks, taking the temperature of the socio-economic conditions and the political activity taking shape in all of Latin America. The continuing war in Iraq, the developments in Iran, the threats to North Korea, the political changes in Israel and Palestine all are in the conscious of the people in Latin America. What is next, who is next where will the next disaster hit, who will it affect. The countries in our hemisphere are taking matters in their own hands, making history and designing their own destiny. While we legislate the building of walls and fences on our borders - our neighbors are changing the direction of their governments... While some countries send doctors, energy and teachers to help other countries in need - We send bombs and our youth to die and kill.
The reality is that we all endure and personally feel the consequences of both natural disasters and manmade devastation and tragedies taking place in the planet. The earth even feels the pain and the globe is stressed out. Whatever is happening in my life seems insignificant to the catastrophe what is brewing in our world natural order.
So, in comparison to what is going on in the world -- I am doing just great. I am looking forward to the summer in Chicago, a time to discard the old and shed some new skin, welcome the warmth and move this revolution forward. Hoping you are all living life to the fullness, finding your space, place and time to make your own history. Wishing you the best --- Un Abrazo.. MUAH !!!!!!!!

My Spanish class is at 1:00 in the afternoon, I'm surprised we don't make a field trip out of it since we will literally be across the street from Grant Park at 6th and Michigan.
I really can't believe people are crying about the anthem sung in Spanish. Spanish is one of the most fun languages to learn and speak.
Good luck tomorrow!
