James a.k.a my now definite boyfriend( this is for real now) has been making my life much more easier. How can a guy do this???..no idea but Im more at ease.
He's from my boro of Queens..yay..and recently got back from North Carolina where he was stationed.
We've been spending much time together. I think no we think we are moving too fast but I said, why take it slow..we are reaching 30 soon!!!! We laughed... not walking down the aisle anytime soon..its only been 2 weeks and it seems right,..so we're taking it day by day. He already met my mom..uhhuh.
Tuesday, he told me to watch this:
In March of 2003, the Marine Corps plan to send two columns north across the Iraqi desert to help the Army seize Baghdad. If there's going to be trouble, it will happen when the Marines try to traverse a north/south stretch of road between two bridges in Nasiriyah. On March 23, nothing goes right. When a convoy of supply trucks takes a wrong turn, they travel north up "Ambush Alley" almost to the end before they recognize their mistake and turn around. Returning south, they've almost made it back to the Euphrates River when gunfire explodes from buildings on both sides of the road. The Marines find themselves in a heated firefight with black-robed Fedayeen fighters. Over the next several hours, they try to fight their way out, save their wounded comrades and complete their mission.
He was involved in that mission and knew most of those being interviewed. Kinda hard for him to watch but he felt he had to and everything they showed and talked about was precise. He's been doing it for 8 years and decided now to leave. Glad he did. He will be joining NYPD soon.
Tough skin with a heart of gold.
He's the guy on left. So ya, Jarhead is something we'll be seeing..heh.
