It's official. I'm moving to LA.
Sorry to anyone I haven't gotten back to recently, I've been so busy.
I went out this past weekend and got myself an apartment, and very potentially a job. It would be pretty miraculous if I moved out there with both a place to live AND a job. Especially with what I have heard about the job market in LA. Yay for transfers! And keeping my discount on books.
The place I got is precious. I'll be renting out the top story of a little Victorian Cottage, built in the 1880s. It's a bedroom, living room, and bathroom. No kitchen. The unit comes with a mini fridge, so I figure with my microwave, toaster oven, and camp stove I should be fine. Oh, and I can bring my cat.
$650 a month including all utilities and internet, 10 extra a month for Cable TV, the deposit is only $200, and it is a month to month rental. It is pretty much just what I need.
The location is also ideal. Close to my friends, close to the community college I want to go to, close to the BN I will potentially be working at. It's in Highland Park, which seems like a pretty nice area.
I move at the end of this month.
My mom decided that she wasn't going to fly out and help me, so the rough part is that I now have to do most of the moving and packing work on my own. My ex is moving out this weekend. I have to figure out how to pack all my shit, get it in the truck, and get out there on my own. The drive won't be too bad, but I'd rather be doing it with someone else.

She's got her left arm kind of between them, and the right is semi-crushing one. That is the most analytical staring I have ever done at that photo.
