I should be sleeping. So I will make this one short and quick.
I finally got caught up on this past season of Torchwood.
Oh goodness, intense.
Way to kill off HALF OF THE BLOODY CAST.
I really didn't think they were going to kill off Owen. Again. I mean, he was already dead... so couldn't he just stick around? I liked Owen.
It isn't that I didn't like Tash, I did. Tash was just more replaceable in my mind. It will be easy to find someone just as likable but more exciting to fill her shoes. But Owen? How can they replace Owen?
So now we have left Captain Jack, Gwen, and Ianto.
Basically they killed off everyone who didn't have sexual tension with Jack.
Shawn and I were talking about potential replacements for Owen and Tash, and he immediately suggested Mrs. Martha Jones. Apparently they are NOT going to do that, because the Idea is to have Gwen be the main female character in the show and if Martha came in as a permanent character it would be nearly impossible to do that. Martha is a previously developed character who has a history with Jack and a standing fan base. She'd end up overtaking Gwen even if they didn't want her to.
Though apparently we will be getting a female doctor, and the other character will be male.
(Random thought - it is my opinion that Ianto is the best dressed man on television.)
Thoughts on Dr. Who -
In the Dr. Who group people have been talking about who they think should be the next Doctor, after David Tennant leaves. (Whenever that may be.)
My opinion?
Paul Bettany. I think he'd be a brilliant Doctor.
And big news!
