Hewo, SGland! I completely forgot to answer to last question I was tagged by @fredhincanada to do! Sorry about that....
The last question is:
7. What is one of your favorite simple meals from your childhood you still love today?
For me, it would have to be okonomiyaki, or maybe modan yaki! It is fairly easy to make, even though it sounds more complicated. Modan yaki is a bit more complex to make because it has soba in it. Like noodles.
It's so good!
There is also Japanese curry that I still love to this day. I still prepare it from time to time.
And oddly enough, French toasts! My father was really good at making all of those. That was one thing I liked about going to visit my father, because my mother definitely was not into making other country food. We also did not have the ingredients for that back when I was living with my mother.
Have you ever had Okonomiyaki or curry? I definitely try to keep my attach to Japan alive by cooking a bunch of Japanese food. In Japan, we try so much to eat healthy, but unfortunately, ingredients for those are really expensive in Canada.... T_T
